Cotton for the front and flannel for the back. I love the soft feel of flannel next to my skin, winter or summer.

Of the photos you posted, I prefer Elizabeth's Studio over Blank.

If your making just a wall-hanging I would go with the cotton. But if it is for a bed quilt I like the idea of the flannel. Someone said use it in a backing. That is a great idea. I have a flannel quilt made that needs a backing fabric. I may just have to get one of these to use in the backing for that quilt! Thanks for sharing the info with us.
