I went on a three day quilt retreat with a friend and this is my French Braid quilt that I have been wanting to make forever after viewing all the gorgeous ones posted to this website. I've had the fabric for 6 months waiting for this retreat. I love it!!!!!! Now I have to find a LAQ in my guild to quilt it and I might enter into our show in April. Thank you for looking.

I should have stated that the bottom braid looks more orange in the picture than they are. The true colors are going to darker wine colors.

Bargello! I hope to complete one in 2013. In January I am starting to sew pillowcase dresses (shorts for boys)for orphanages in Africa. I also help make a raffle quilt for my local Senior Center for the 4th of July!! I am busy as is every quilter!! Thanks for asking.

I think you did a "blue ribbon" job! Best of luck in the show. I have only made one french braid so far, and I would definitely do one again. Isn't it fun how it goes together! Your color choices are great.
