Very pretty...I have just finished a string top (need a kick in the pants to do the backing and basting). Great fun to do...and they are so cheery, makes you smile just looking at them.

They look really nice, I've always wanted to make one, its on the list but....theres so many things to make!

You probably have encouraged a huge number of quilters to do a string quilt. Especially appealing to me is the slightly wonky factor. It makes a playfulness which I find endearing.

I have had to put my String quilt aside as I am doing another quilt for LovequiltUK but I thought I would show you the progress so far. I am delighted with the result because as you can see the Sofa is rather plain but the String quilt is really livening it up :)
I am thinking of investing in a couple of metres of this gorgeous fleece http://www.calicolaine.co.uk/Red-Ted...1864824420ac97 so I can reverse it when it's Christmastime! |
