I love them both!! You do such wonderful work too! I love the puppy! When you fuse fabric like that how do you sew around the edges? I assume that you don't turn under the edges so do you just fuse or do you also sew?

I fuse first, then applique with the clear thread by hand using a blanket stitch.

Thanks for your lovely compliments!

Beautiful! You must have the patience of Job to work with such tiny pieces.

I have seen people use the fusing but have never taken the plunge to try it. It doesn't seem like it would wear well. But then I haven't tried any and don't really know. It just seems easier to do. I just tried my new Brother recently and have all the fancy stitches on it so I might have to try this.

Those are darling. Great job.

Well, these are mainly decorative wall hangings, so I doubt they'd be washed a lot, but I have used a lot of fusible in my bed and lap quilts too. As long as you stitch around the edge a bit on the more used ones they hold up just fine!

Thanks Jennifer I appreciate it! Will definately have to try it. I am getting back into the Doll Quilt swap so maybe I will try some on one there!
