2013 New Year's Day Mystery Quilt
 

This is my version of the PlanetPatchwork 2013 New Year's Day Mystery Quilt. My sister and I did the quilts at my house on Jan 1. I finished mine last weekend and she is only about 1/2 way through with her's. I think if we do it again next year, we will cheat and wait to see what the final quilt looks like before we buy the material. I have a good sized stash, but she doesn't and she couldn't find anything in my stash that she wanted to use except the background material, so it was more expensive for her.

I always like to see what I'm going to make before I make it too. That way, if I don't like the pattern, I can save my fabric for something else. Your quilt turned out beautiful. You chose just the right colors!
