3D Cubes - WOW looks so much better on the bed than the floor!

I posted a picture of this quilt earlier in the week and then realized I needed to add 2 more columns to the quilt to make sure it hung over the sides properly. I took these pictures of it on the bed and I was pleasantly surprised at how it looked! Here is a link for those interested to the instructions for making the blocks - http://quilterpenny.wordpress.com/20...lting-designs/

Didn't find the pattern on the link -- ?? Do you have to click on the top left box to download the PDF? It appeared to be an advertisement.
Your quilt is just beautiful. Do you applique the cubes after they're assembled? You did a very nice job on it. |

Very nice, makes me want to make one.

Gorgeous quilt!! Sure hope he doesn't have a white kitty.....
|
Beautiful!! How does the duvet close? like a big pillow sham with the overlaps on the reverse side, or are there closures at the ends?
I'd like to make another reversible quilt (http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t192134.html) and enclose the down comforter, which would eliminate the batting, quilting, and bulk of a regular quilt. So do you think probably the closures along one side or at the ends would be better for when it's flipped over to the "other quilt" on the reverse side - ? |
That is so cool..I love it.
