I love doing handwork while sitting. I was shown a pattern for a 3D bowtie, you fold the cloth and then make on hand seam. When you are finished the bowtie 'stands up from the material. And then I found out how to make flying geese with one seam, they turn out 3D also. So I combined the two to make a quilt for my daughter.

I made my sister a quilt one year that had the flying geese border like this. And it amazed me how it looked so 3d.Very dimensional. I just loved it.

Not a falconer, I was in Qatar visiting my daughter on R & R from Iraq when I did this.
