I also think a darker inside border would work better. I believe it would separate the outside flowers and show them off more.

Here's my opinion....SEND IT TO ME!! I LOVE IT!!
Especially the fat cat! lol Yes, a darker border would be better. |
You could make a much bigger quilt by spreading them out more or even two....you could sash between each block........its really pretty :D
|
I also think a darker color would look wonderful. Maybe the dark green or the dark red/burgundy. Great job on the blocks.

Thanks so much for that advice, its so difficult when you get to that sashing bit, so you donīt make it go too bland. Elle

Terry, sorry this one is for my daughter, a surprise when she comes out here to live to try and see if she likes Spain or not. I can send you a FAT cat though, might not get through your mail box LOL
Thanks for the input really appreciate it and all of you have said a darker border, so thats what I will go for Love yas all Elle |
I think a darker colour would be a good idea too and maybe around the blocks a bit too..that way you can see the blocks more and appreciate the work that went into each darling block!! Yes I love the fat cat too!! LOL

Hi Ruth, I did think of that, but I am following a pattern and the sashing is on the outside and I think it would make the quilt too big.....this is the biggest I have made so far. But the darker colour is the one I am going for. Thanks for your ideas Elle
