What should I do? I would like to add one more boarder. Should it be Red, green, navy, or should I go back to store & get more of the light blue?
This quilt is for my nephew that came 6wks early! So I'm trying to keep it simple so I can get it finished. Please let me know what looks best. tks Shanna |
you might try this type of binding, as I just found the link today

Craftybear- I love this!! Thanks!
S.Adkins, I think any that you have will work just fine! I wouldn't buy a lighter blue, work with what you have :) |
I think the dark blue would be fine. There is dark blue in the fussy cut blocks. Personally, I think the red is too much. You could bind it in red! It's a really really cute quilt!
|
Each border CAN be a different color, if you like, and will add even more bright colors to the quilt. Babies love the stimulation.
And you don't have to go get more fabric! |
I like the dark blue the best, the red looks too much like
Christmas. |
I like the dark blue and then use the red for the binding.
It will be adorable whatever you decide! |
dark blue here
|
I think the red brings it to life. Cute quilt! And congrats to your family on the baby!
|
I like the blue w/ red binding
|
I really like that - I will have to try that. Thanks craftybear!

A narrow border of the dark blue and a wider one of the red :D:D:D
Love your quilt! |
I agree with the dark blue sashing and red for binding.
|
I like the idea of dark blue with red binding.
|
I would go with the red its a contrast complimentary color to the green. Congratulations on the new nephew.
|
Blue here, Cute Quilt !!
|
I totally agree with RatherBQuilting. The blue for another border and maybe red for binding. Or use the green again for binding. It is a very cute quilt.

I would do a very thin red border, a wider dark blue border then bind with red!! Whatever you decide it will look great! Congratulations on your new nephew!! I did a similar baby quilt and did the thin red border like a loose flap ie. 1" folded and stitched down at the same time as the wider border. It just frames the main quilt like a picture. Hope this makes sense!!!

And you don't have to go get more fabric! I like this idea....different color on each side...including yellow. Nice and bright and colorful! |

I like the dark blue.
|
I like the red better. The dark blue seems to clash with the lighter blue.
|
I like the blue
|
I agree.
