While taking a break from quilting for a coupla days, I made this tonight on my embroidery machine. I'm making them for my 2 grandsons and one for my son too, because I know he'll want to play with the boys. LOL

Edit I made one of each so far

THat is way to cute the boys are going to have a ball with them. Can we see them playing with them? Pretty please.

Really neat-you ladies with the embroidery machines are just too clever!!

sewnsewer2 09-11-2008 06:10 AM

Thanks, yes it flys. Not like a paper one tho

I won't get to see them play with it because they live in Ohio and I'm in FL. :( :(

Where did you get the pattern?

sewjoyce 09-13-2008 07:58 AM

Yes, where did you get the pattern??? I just simply love it and so would my dh as well as my grandson!!

(Hey, I think it would be neat to play with too  ).

Here's where I got the design from, it is machine embroidered.

It was easy, but you need an embroidery machine to make it.

I'm making lace ornaments now.

Elizabeth A. 09-13-2008 01:40 PM

Wow those are neat! Talk about thinking outside of the box!

Now tell me tell me, where did you get the lace ornament patterns? :D I'm still learning but you use the wash out -soly stabilizer for those right? I have seen some amazing tops with the necklines made with embroidery and the soly stuff. :)

sewnsewer2 09-13-2008 02:42 PM

Elizabeth, you have a PM.

Skeat 09-14-2008 03:47 AM

Those are clever!! I never even thought about that!! We still play w/the styrofoam ones here from time to time..and they never last...I bet these will last forever!! Can you tell us what is inside of yours??I've marked the site to send to grandma:))She has the embrod. machine and these would make great gifts for all the kids!! Thanks for sharing Skeat

sewnsewer2 09-14-2008 06:13 AM

Skeat, there is one layer of peltex (stiff) inside, then 1 layer of fabric on the front and back. All of the instructions come with it .

Skeat 09-14-2008 08:59 AM

Thanks bunches!! SKeat
