Alabama Quilt
I realized a few years ago that I had been so busy making quilts for the babies arriving in the family that my own kids did not have a quilt made by me. I made that a priority and got the first three done fairly quickly. Then I disrupted my life with a new job in a new state and could not seem to get the last one done. I finally just buckled down and finished it and gave to my youngest son just before he left for his second year of college. It's an Alabama quilt since he is a die-hard fan (no, he doesn't attend Alabama, but my husband grew up there and they get to games occasionally). Here are a few pictures. I am so happy to have finally made one for each of my children so they will always have a fabric hug from me.

Great job
What an awesome looking quilt. This quilt just answered my question of "What do you give to the person that has everything". My family pulls names to exchange gifts at Christmas. I pulled my beautiful niece's name. For the past 10 months I have been struggling with the question of what to get her. She does not need anything and she has everything. But, after seeing this beautiful quilt you made for your son it answered my question. I will make her a BAMA quilt. Both she and her husband are Alabama graduates. I will probably have to make it a rag quilt to make sure I finish it by December 2nd, the date of our family Christmas party. Again, great job on your son's quilt. I am sure he loves it.

Very nice job. I married into a family of Alabama grads and die hard fans. I made brother in law an Alabama quilt, but I like yours better. I went to Auburn, and that Bama quilt was SO UGLY. Couldn't wait to get it out of the house!
