When I first started doing hand stitches about 6 years ago, they were about 1/4 of an inch long. I think I have improved. What do you say?

I love the look of hand quilting, but I am too impatient to get each project done and dusted....your stitches look perfect :D

I think it looks outstanding! I've only hand quilted one small table runner. I discovered right away that it's a LOT harder than it looked!

Anne - I am a total novice when it comes to a question about "hand quilting". BUT - professionally - I was in Quality Assurance and I really would say - "Looks perfect"!!! In my opinion - I would wish I could do work as exacting as that. I LOVE IT!!! (could you tell?)

estherblair 09-14-2008 05:42 PM

SewSew2 09-15-2008 06:16 AM

What I am amazed at each stitch looks to be the same space inbetween. Excellent job...I would say you have mastered the art of hand quilting.

Riley 09-15-2008 09:21 AM

As a 100% hand quilter myself, let me say one word to you---

FABULOUS!!!!

Very Nice!!! Your first attempt sounds like my first one too!! They were not pretty to look at, I still cringe when I look at it!

Thanks everyone. This puts a smile on my face. I have never taken a class so all I know is from books and television. I just go slowly and hope for the best.

I have tried a number of things to mark with, but recently one of the ladies in my little group at church told me that she just uses ordinary classroom chalk. I love it. 72 cent for a box of 12.....yeah!
