Well you all have seen 3 other quilts that Annette sent me to quilt for her...in trade because she made me 5 quilts from scraps ..out of my own scraps.

So this is the 4th quilt that I quilted for her...

She is so genious! This quilt and also a few that she made for me...was made using register ( reciept) tape as foundation. She took all those tiny scraps sewed them onto rolls of reciept tape and then trimmed them to the size she wanted..isn't that a fabulous idea? No waste..you get to use all those crumbs..and control them. She used this technique in several different settings which always amazes me.

She asked for leaves in all the red strips....and so of course I quilted leaves...beautiful finish!

Thanks Annette!

Great job both of you. I gave my friends rolls of paper tape we had left unused from our business-used to use it in old fashioned adding machines. It is really a great frugal use. (it wasn't my idea, have read about it different places)

Amazing that even tiny scraps can be utilized and create such a beautiful top. Your quilting as always suits the quilt perfectly!

Thank you for the super idea of using register tape as a foundation -- had not heard of that before. Also thank you, Charismah, for showing all your quilting. I'm starting to be more aware of stitching patterns and how they can really enhance the quilt top. Not ready to try it myself, though.
