Anyone Else Making this Halloween Quilt??

4 Attachment(s)
I started this quilt a few months bach, among others I'm working on and just love it. I'm adding black/blue tinted seed beads to trees and different areas and they really make it pop. It's lots of work but will be so worth it. The pattern is Hocuspocusville by Crab-Apple Hill
Thanks for looking.

It's going to be wonderful. Funny you should mention Halloween quilts. I'm always at least one season ahead of myself in quilt planning. Thinking about making a pumpkin quilt very.

That's so cute!
We dont do Halloween but I almost wish we did so I could have an excuse to make one too!

Yes, I just started mine at the beginning of the month but then my new puppy chew'd my glasses making embroidery impossible for a bit long. I can't wait to get back to it tho, I have 2 of their Christmas designs as well.

What a fun idea! That looks like it's the beginning of something great. Please keep us posted on your progression and be sure to share the finished quilt with us. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I love there patterns, I'm also making over the river and through the woods, have a little more to do on the last panel. Also have completed the walking in a winter wonderland, storybook snowmen, and just purchased merry little christmas and have spellbound for Halloween. I'll be busy for a long time.

I was just thinking about a Halloween runner tonight (MO Star's deal of the day is a Halloween charm pack). It must just be in the air... LOL! But, back to these adorable blocks... FABULOUS! Please keep posting as you continue on with these beauties! I love them!

I am working on a halloween kaleidoscope. The fabric was so crazy wild with ghosts, green monsters, spider webs and various other assorted ghouls, that I decided to tone it down a bit. This is my first kaleidoscope and I am loving the process!

That is just fabulous! I wish I enjoyed doing hand embroidery - although I could do it on my sewing machine... I can't start a new project right now at all but if I could, I would be all over that!!
Yours is looking just amazing :)

Blinkokr 06-02-2012 03:45 AM

You are doing a great job. I have the "over the woods" pattern and want to start on it right after the first of the year and hope I can embroidery as well as you have.

passionpiecer 11-27-2013 04:21 PM

I have the pattern but cant decide what color background i want to embroider on. Yours is great, I like the idea of the seed beads on the trees, Nicely

YukonViv 11-27-2013 09:58 PM

I love this quilt. I am done 4 blocks I think, I kind of got stalled last winter. I am stitching mine using black and orange perle cotton.

buddy'smom 11-29-2013 10:17 AM
