Started on Thursday.... Finished top at 3am last night.....Got to be finished by tomorrow!!!!!

Rush job, haven't done ANYTHING else but sew, sew, sew, sew, oh quick visit to the loo, NOTHING else has been touched, DH done all of the cooking, and helped me enormously choosing the layout and patterns...

But I think it has been worth all the hard work, made a boo boo, the rocket in the bottom left corner is heading back to earth instead of space!!!! :D

Thanks everyone!! Boy it's hard work when you have such a short deadline, but I know it will be appreciated, the baby is due any day and this is a special present from the Grandparents, yet another of my quilts that will be going to the U.K.

This is my first commissioned quilt which adds MORE pressure on, that doing it for yourself or your family :roll: :lol: :D

I just got a phone call from the U.K. from my eldest son, he has officially asked his girlfriends father for her hand in marriage...it's taken him 9 years to get this far lol!! Wedding plans??? well he 'mentioned' possibly next year in August.... :D

Thanks Sharon, if you knew my son and his dear girlfriend, you would realise that I won't get into any a flap any time soon, as they both seem unable to make a quick decision about anything..you should try going shopping with them 'errmmmm.....maybe......not sure......lets go look in the next shop.....what do you think??????' is about the norm for them in decision making situations, so I SHOULD get plenty of notice, but they may surprise me, so I best get planning ahead for their wedding quilt JUST in case :roll: :lol: :D :D :D



THANKS everyone for your enthusiasm, and just to let you in on a secret...I didn't plan this quilt at all, I started with the centre block, made that...then it just went from there, stand back, and wait for the next idea to pop in my head :D

The only restriction was in the fabrics I had, all of the background except the nursery print was from recycled men's shirts :lol: :D

I SO envy your creativity and ability to work under pressure! Any parent and little boy will just adore this! Maybe his nickname will be Linus because he'll carry around with him everywhere! :D
