I liked it better before I quilted it. Maybe I just got sick of looking at it. I had a few issues and might have done something different in the sashing..................like FEATHERS! This quilt had many firsts for me.
1st mitred corder
1st quilt on point (bias)
1st attemt at swags
1st machine embroidery/applique
1st attemt at beadboard border design

geez Patrice you beat me to it! I agree you need to forget about this awful experience and get rid of it.

For a whole bunch of firsts- you did an awesome job! Now, what did you learn from this experiment? Like, maybe you need to make another for me since Patrice is getting the experimantal model? j/k hope you decide to display it someplace- it's gorgeous and needs to be seen.

You are right, Patrice. I need to get rid of the memory of this horrible experience    but not the lessons learned. I do have to agree that it looks pretty good if you don't examine it up close.
Thank you for the nice words.

Jackie,
It's really a lovely quilt. Why, oh why, are we never happy with our own work? You've done a wonderful job and look at all you've learned! Put it away (from Patrice) and after a month pull it out again. You'll fall in love with it all over again. I will guarantee it! Uh, I could safe guard if for you! No charge!
