Ashleighs' quilt -WITH PICTURES
6 Attachment(s)
Long story, short: I bought the jelly roll at Walmart about 2.5 years ago. Decided to make the quilt for my darling grand niece AND practice sewing straight. It's obvious where I started - very wavy, but by the time I finished I was sewing much straighter.
I found the backing at Goodwill. It's a sheet. I looked at all the local quilt shops and walmart and found nothing I liked - and then Goodwill had this perfect sheet. Finished the top in about a month, batted and backed it, then let it sit in quilt limbo until this month. I gave her the quilt this past weekend, but she is leaving it at my house because her dog (way past puppy-hood) chews stuff. Enjoy the pictures. |

That is a very colorful and pretty quilt. I really like your sheet on the back, I buy lots of pretty sheets at Goodwill and other thrift stores for backing. ($2.00 a sheet, can't beat those prices.)
