Last spring I won a set of fabric samples as a door prize at my guild's quilt show. The fabrics were designed by Michael Miller and consisted of a main scene and a bunch of coordinating designs. I sliced the scene into 24 6" squares and put them behind a window. An exercise in mitered corners! I added a very narrow flange border, trying to make it look like a groove in a wood frame.

Quilting: Did STID with monofilament at the edge of the "glass" to anchor the mitered corners, then straight stitch with the browns and beiges in the frames.

Thanks for looking!

Sorry about the non-flat look. I should have taken a better picture. It's in the mail now, a gift for my brother and sister-in-law.

I LOVE this kind of Attic Window! Awesome job!! I did one once with a navy print with tiny white stars so it was like looking at the sky. But yours is amazing!
