I didn't know tied quilts counted until I saw a beautiful one from someone else amongst all these wonderful pictures. So I guess I have finished a quilt. Here is my favorite as it contains fabrics from both my mother and grandmother. I saved pajamas and pretty shirts after their passings knowing some day a deserving person would appreciate their value. It went to a niece, the first grandaughter/great grandaughter to have a baby in the family.

Oh, that's wonderful, lakehouse! I love the sentimental value and the fact you waited for someone who would appreciate it. BTW, lots of people tie their quilts. I've tied a few, too, and still plan on doing it on some. Great job and thanks for showing us this picture!

Ofcourse they count!!!! You have made a treasured heirloom that will be passed down through the generations!!! Please say you did make a label describing where the fabrics came from and the significance of the young woman who received it and your name and date!
