Back to my Dear Jane journey
I wanted to try to catch up with all of my fellow Janiacs, but can't believe I've been paused for nearly 11 months. To catch up will mean that I have to make 3 blocks a day. I tried that, but A10 completely stumped me. It sat there for days. Every time I passed by, I couldn't bring myself to start it. I finally jumped in 4 days after printing out my block. I decided to use thatquilt.com's method http://thatquilt.blogspot.com/2009/01/10.html . Here is my contortion sewing of the frame [I'm using the back of the fabric for the background of this one]
http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...019720-001.jpg In the end, it wasn't that hard... just very slow and careful. So, you may remember that I'm doing 3 Janes. Here are A2, A4, and B11 http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...020072-001.jpg And here are A10, C12 and B9 http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...020148-019.jpg I have closeups of all of them, but they need resizing. So this is all for now. |
YIKES! You're amazing.......THREE Janes! I can't even get half of one done! I really like all your color combinations, your finished 'Janes' will be wonderful to see! Keep going, I can see you are very good at this!

OMG .... triplet DJs!
What a challenge you have given yourself ... and a great starting back with those 18 blocks! |
I can almost see the logic in doing multiple Janes at the same time ...... almost :)
They're great!! |
I too can see the logic in doing three at once , my hats of to you for one ! Do keep us posted.
|
Great job!

Awesome job!!!!

Three at once-? Please do keep us posted on your progress! :)

All of your blocks look great. I think it makes sense to make all three at the same time. Good luck. DJ is one of my favorite quilts also.

thanks to all for your kind comments. yes, making 3 at the same time is more efficient. i want one for my own bed, one for the guest bed, and one to sell to pay for the other two :)
