Beautiful fabric for baby quilt - need help selecting pattern.

I just received a fat quarter bundle of this fabric for baby quilt for my granddaughter due the end of March. Her only sister (age 8) wanted the baby room painted light green with butterflies and flowers. I think this line of fabric fits the bill totally...however, I am having trouble selecting a pattern. I'm looking for something relatively simple, no stars or complicated blocks, and do not want it to look scrappy. I think I should look for a solid fabric - possible light green - to make it look less busy. The fabrics on the second picture are the ones I definitly want to use somewhere. I plan to use the rest of the fat quarters in a wall hanging, baby blocks, curtains and basket liners so nothing ends up in the scrap bag. Sure would appreciate any opinions.

Very pretty fabrics. Just a thought, I know you said that you didn't want it too look "scrappy" but if you use all the fabrics it probably will look "scrappy". Not a bad thing, I love scrappy. Here is one picture that I have on my pinterest that may work for all your pretty fabrics: http://www.thequiltshow.com/3/43/1007243/8085756_q.jpg

the fabric is just precious. I also like quilting mommy's quilt. Also, there is one on the Missouri Star Quilt Co. tutorial that is really neat.

Have you considered cutting the FQs into 4 or 4.5 inch squares to make a charm quilt? You could probably get 16 squares out of each FQ. The leftovers could be used for a scrappy border and/or binding. There wouldn't be a lot of contrast, but it would be sweet. A minky backing would make it so cuddly.

OMG I love this! I've got some baby quilts to make myself...

MommyA...I love your fabrics. If you don't want too scrappy, add a couple of solids or marbles.

Wow that quilt is beautiful. I am looking for a pattern to make for my Mum. She would love this, she does not like traditional blocks.

I wanted to do a family tree type quilt, but I could put the names of her grandchildren on the flower petals.

Pinwheels with half square triangles should be easy and work well. Since babies are attracted to bolder, stronger colors like primary colors, maybe use a plain green in the darker shade of the print.

@ quiltingmommy; What a cute and simple design for a baby quilt. Love the fabrics. I think this pattern suits mommya's needs perfectly. It would really work with your fabric mommyA. I may borrow the idea myself. It is so charming.
