Billings Farm Entry

Last night was the opening reception of the quilt exhibit at Billings Farm Museum in Woodstock, Vermont. Here is my wall quilt made of batik fabrics my daughter got me on her trip to Malaysia last summer. I always enjoy the opening, chatting with other quilters from Windsor County VT, including some who exhibit yearly. I enjoy seeing what people come up with, and the fact that it is a range of quilters from top notch professionals to newbies. The exhibit is on display until September 21, in the midst of great farm history stuff and a working dairy farm. Nice place to bring kids, too.

Lovely Wall hanging...those don't look like the batiks I see most places! Beautiful.

Thanks, Treasureit. No, they surprised me too. I asked DD to get me some batiks, and these say batik on the labels, but they are made for sarongs, I guess. The patterns are oddly spaced on the fabric, making it very difficult to cut for anything symetrical.

Yes, very different than batiks I have seen but so vivid and pretty colours!

your wall hanging is gorgeous. Love the fabric and colors.

very nicely done

Lynn, you have made a treasure. Love just how all the fabric play together. Thank you for all your information :)
