This wholecloth won a blue ribbon at the World Quilt Competition 2005. The size is 181 x 99 cm (71" x 39") and it's hand quilted. For the design I've used traditional British quilting patterns like scissors, roses and variations of feathers. Some of the patterns are quilted freehand.

I can see why it won! It's just lovely, absolutely lovely. You did an excellent job!

I love wholecloths and cannot wait until my skill level is such that I can make a quilt even 1/2 this wonderful :)

Thank you for sharing!

That is just wonderful. How long does it take you to quilt something this size? I could probably start on something this size and get it finished in 2050!

That is astonishing! Great work.

Well, I think I needed 450 to 500 hours to finish it - so maybe 3 months or so, quilting like a fulltime job.

Absolutely stunning! It certainly deserves a blue ribbon.
