My MIL gave me 4 hardback quilting books, one soft back book and a quilt novel. Then she gave me a card with $40. She knows me too well. After looking at the books all evening I just had to buy fabric. I headed to Walmart the next day where a lot of their cottons are marked down to $.75 - $3.00. I bought 25 yds of fabrics. Yes, that was more than the $40 but hey, it's my birthday and Mother's day so, who's counting!

She went on and on about a baby quilt her mother had made for her when her first was born. she doesn't know what happened to the quilt but my DH and I thought it would be nice if I made her a new Sue for Christmas. Not sure how I want to applique it so I started another thread on that. |
