I started quilting about a year ago (and have been stalking this board ever since). I decided to make quilts for all my grandchildren. My oldest granddaughter wanted a "bright" version of a button-up buttercup I had made. This is what she ended up with.

I gave them their quilts as a Christmas present. (All 7 grandchildren and my children.) I spent a lot of time stressing over whether they would be happy with a quilt as a present. I need not have worried. They were more excited about the quilts than anything else.
