Hope this comes through okay. I sure had fun making it. My daughter has been a 6th grade teacher for several years and this next year she will be teaching 2nd grade, she is a little bummed about it, but she says at least she has a job.

thimblebug6000 06-08-2011 06:38 PM

Sorry I couldn't open it, it came up in my word program, but nothing appeared.???

NancyG 06-08-2011 06:39 PM

I couldn't download it either.

Murphy 06-08-2011 06:39 PM

Cute, cute, cute quilt. Yes, in today's world having a job is a very important thing and what it is may not be as important as we once thought it was (smile). I am sure she is a great teacher and this is just a new adventure for her. Thank you for sharing.

P-BurgKay 06-08-2011 06:44 PM

I tried to open it and had to scroll down a page or two to get it to come up. This is my first time posting.

What a darling quilt, I like that you made the jars different shapes.

It opened for me. Looks nice, that is one cute quilt.

mommamac 06-08-2011 07:23 PM

That quilt will be great in daughter's 2nd grade room. I hope she will be pleasantly surprised once she gets into the groove of the world of 'little people'. Second grade is wonderful - I spent 37 years there & loved it!

sak658 06-08-2011 07:40 PM

Great quilt, the kids will love it..

cjomomma 06-08-2011 07:52 PM

Cute quilt. I think it's great how you made different sized jars.

mamajack3 06-08-2011 07:56 PM

Really like this - I have never seen one with a different shaped jar mixed in and I really like that idea. Your daughter is going to LOVE this. She is also going to love working with 2nd. graders - they are sooooooooo ready to absorb whatever is presented to them. It'll take a bit to get the hang of being around a bunch of them as they can be intimidating at times ........ lol

Mickie612 06-09-2011 03:44 AM

That is really cute. Her students will love it.

From the 'how to post pictures' in the Home/Pictures section "Make sure your picture is in JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG format. Otherwise, it will be added as a file attachment without being displayed on the page." If your picture was not the correct file format, it may explain why everyone was having trouble seeing it. just fyi

P-BurgKay 06-09-2011 04:35 AM

Thanks, maybe some day I will figure things out.

Dotsie 06-09-2011 05:31 AM

I can see the class enjoying it......so cute.

teacherbailey 06-09-2011 05:47 AM

2nd will be a new challenge but they are such sweet kids! Unlike 6th graders who would like to be treated like adults, and act like they think they are, sometimes! The quilt is so much fun to add to her new classroom!

GramaLaura 06-09-2011 06:01 AM

Very cute!! Comes thru ok.....just have to wait a minute for the download :-D

matraina 06-09-2011 06:02 AM

I did get this to down load for me and it is beautiful. Your daughter will enjoy this also. Just think of second graders and what their eyes will look like when they see this quilt. Your daughter needs to share this with her class.

mimee4 06-09-2011 06:33 AM

This is an adorable quilt. The kiddoes will look at it time and again to see something different in each of the "jars".

grannypat7925 06-09-2011 06:54 AM

Had to save as pdf file and then open it. Cute quilt!

amma 06-09-2011 07:10 AM

DD and her class will love this in their classroom :D:D:D

Clara101 06-09-2011 07:13 AM

The quilt is adorable. Tell your daughter to start out thinking they are first graders. It will be a big change. Second graders LOVE TO TALK. I taught 3 and 4 for 33 years. Loved it. She needs to get a second grade buddy right away to get in on all the ins and outs. She will make it. People think changing grades is not a big deal, but it really is. Each grade learns special skills.

darlin1942 06-09-2011 07:29 AM

i HAD NO TROUBLE GETTING THIS PICTURE, IT REALLY IS CUTE.
