INFO: Pic's this is a 'Greist' brand button holer but works on my FW just fine! The Button holes made with this type of buttonhole makers are the Best! #1 you never have to Measure, If you have a 3/4 button you pick the 3/4 'Cog' ( little oval dies w/notches) and lower the presser foot and go around 3-4 times your cut the center. Done! #2 LOL is no #2.

my mom had that attachment for her singer, but it was not a featherweight.

I remember that attachment. Made buttonholes easier in the 'good o'days'.

I've got something similar and you are right, just stick in the cog and go. Neat thing: it stitches like a zig zag, so one of these days there ought to be a foot that allows zig zag without having to use a cog (and constantly stop/start/reset the cog).

Wouldn't that be great!

I have used one like this for 50 plus years.it also fits on a regular size singer.
