I made up this cat block this week. I'm trying to figure out how I can
put it in the center of a lap quilt. what kind of blocks to use or designs
so that the lap quilt does't get to busy .any ideas you would like to share.

How big is this square? Check out some of the border books - they have great ideas for different filler blocks and border designs.

A simple log cabin would work.

I was thinking log cabin too. put a strong color border around kitty first to anchor it in the quilt visually.

Not log cabin the block called court house steps. It will match with the final border and with carful colour selection you can make it blend into steps going to the beautiful cat. Don't forget the green eyes.
