Stopped by Hobby Lobby Friday - Got 2 total yds of fabric for under $8 - 1 yard and 2 half-yards. That's going to make 2 table runners so just under $4 each. Wow! Don't have a stash yet so that's a big deal to me...
Love the 10-minute runner idea, but pieced the top and didn't pull in the corners. Did put batting in it. I use runners for hot pads so wanted it to be good for that. Instead of 10 minutes took me 3 hours. Did WAY too much unsewing in this one! turned up so you can see the back the backing and the red have gold sparkles - very festive! |

VERY cute! and a great bargain!

the top of the second one has already gone together in half the time. No upside down Santas this time. And no pairs stitched where I didn't have the right one first. Ended up the last row had a gap I had to take a pair apart to fix. Have the top and backing pinned and ... right sides are TOGETHER --- already an improvement! ANd ... doing with no batting so that will be faster too. I prefer the batting, but .. trying it this way.

Great job!

We don't have Hobby Lobby here, but I sure loved it when visiting Colo when my mother was alive. i envy you

Okay - second one finished in under two hours. Love it! Now the problem begins. I have misc. fat quarters that are Christmasy and some abondoned rail blocks that are Moda fruitcake. I've begun pulling those out and seeing what I have for backing to make more ... table runners! And I'm beginning to think of people I didn't really intend to give a gift to, but it would be nice ... surely they'd love a little table runner? AND our Walmart has fabric and is open 24 hours. Perhaps I could talk someone into cutting just a wee bit of fabric? Perhaps??? When will the madness end?????????

I've just started getting the daily "edition" and I guess I missed the 10 minute runner information. Could you please post it again? Thanks in advance.
