I just finished this Christmas Table runner top using the free Sugar cookie pattern on the Moda Bake shop blog. I'm going to free motion quilt it in August.

Cute!!!!! I've bookmarked it! Thanks for posting. :)

Those are the types of color combinations I would NEVER choose but wish I could. By that I mean, I just don't have a good eye for color. I absolutely love that look and if I wanted to duplicate it, I would come out of the LQS with Christmas red and Christmas green...........boring!
Good Job, I think it looks Awesome! |

Ooooooh, I positively adore this! Was it very hard to make? I'm bookmarking this page so I remember to come back and try this when I'm more experienced with quilting. I really do love that pattern - and it'd be neat to try it out with different fabrics and colors and stuff.
Very nice!! |
Quite adorable.
|
Lovely!! Thanks for showing.
|
Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments on my table runner. All those comments really makes me feel good. When I make these things, I get so insecure at picking fabrics. I wasn't sure I liked it, but after all your supportive comments, I Love it. I'll show it again next month when I have finished free motion quilting it.

What do you use for batting in your table runners? I need to make several for a bazaar and am thinking my regular batting may be too thick.
|
I use warm and natural batting. I think it's all cotton except for the scrimm that holds it all together. It lays nice and flat and is quite thin.
|
WOW. That is really pretty. Post another pic when you get it quilted.
