Christmas Tabletopper

I made this Christmas tabletopper for my mother...The pattern is called Skirting Christmas by Far-Flung Quilts. (www.farflungquilts.com -- FFQ019). It's 36" but can be made as a 44" hexagon. I used the 120 degree ruler, but you can make it without. :) I opted for easy meandering on the quilting because it was a busy print and I have little time...............................

I made one using this pattern and it turned out so nice. The one I made was a tree skirt and was a hit with my Sister in law. I love the fabrics you chose. Beautifully done!

I really like it, years ago I saw a wonderful tree skirt that looked a lot like this but the points were not connected by triangles, so it looked like a huge poinsettia, could I leave out those triangles to get the look I want?
