I made this quilt top for my granddaughter who is re-doing her room. She recently cleaned it from top to bottom and is painting it the soft aqua blue color. Sewing the Churn Dash squares together without sashing created an interesting alternate pattern. She liked the Churn Dash block, but just loves the quilt top; her color choices work nicely together I think. The quilt top is now on it's way to Chrisma for quilting. My long-time friend said I should post this on the Board, so here it is!

I love it! This is the first time I have seen a churn dash without sashing. I never even considered doing that block but now I am having second thoughts. Beautiful!

My favorite block and the first time I've seen it with no sashing.
Definitely on my "to-do" list.  |
Very pretty quilt. I like the border, too.

It is amazing what blocks look like without sashing. Allowing them to flow together and create a softer look is a good thing. Beautiful work - can't wait to see it finished!
