Sorry to hear that, I have something simuliar i wash my flannel quilt after quilting and one block the seams SPLIT open now i have to try and fix. errrrrrrrrrrrrrr it is a gift. OUCH.

I'm glad you were able to "fix" it. It's a very pretty quilt and you did a great job on the quilting and the "repair"

Bev - it was the pits of the tummy feeling!

Ruth, yes, lucky, cos the needle snapped in half too.

Renee - has the seam stitching come undone, or fabric split? You should be okay if it's the seam. If it's a fabric tearaway from the stitching, could you lightly catch it together and embroider something fancy over the top & make a feature?

Great thinking Katrine! Very pretty quilt I might add.

Katrine looks like that turned into a happy accident because you have made a great job of the tear.

I can just imagine how you felt after all that work.

Lovely quilt though.

Katrine: Your quilt is beautiful and your patchwork on the tear is a stoke of genious. Good job.

Never had that happen, but it could in my house. My heart dropped as I read it but you did a wonderful save.
