Here's an update for you guys. First, I wanted to say THANK YOU!!! to all of the people on this board who sent me tiny scraps. I really really appreciate having them.

My first post about this quilt is here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47601-1.htm

This is how far along I've gotten now. I'm mostly just doing the scrap quilt as leaders and enders. Hubby asked me to make this for our bed, so I have quilte a ways to go yet. Each block is 4 inches square.

That's really nice. I don't think I could do all that small stuff with my eyes. But I can enjoy what you have done so far. Keep us updated on your progress.

Wow, these are beautiful, so small too, have you sewn them onto a backing fabric?

No backing fabric, Gal. Just tiny pieces sewn together.

Wow, I bet that has take you ages! It already looks like it is going to be stunning though!

Wow, thanks Megs, I am impressed, how would you quilt such a design with all the thickness of those little pieces on the back?

I'm probably going to use sashing... maybe black or white so it doesn't take away from the colors. Then I'll quilt in the sashing, instead of the on the whole quilt. 'Cause yeah, those blocks have quilte a few layers of fabric and would be hard to quilt through. The upside is this'll be a nice, heavy, winter quilt.

Fliedermaus, yeah it takes a while. But I'm working on it along with other projects so it seems like it's just popping together out of nowhere!

Wow, that looks great. I am glad to see that someone else uses the pool table as a design board!! It's a great flat surface, I use ours to sandwich my quilts too.

4 inches? I love it! You must have a lot of patience!
