Cut Work Portrait of Kitty "Purr-fect"
1 Attachment(s)
Thank you to WildYard for the kitty pic to create this pattern.
When I went to JoAnns looking for fabric, my plan was a muted paw print or "fur" look fabric. But, I fell in love with this mod wild print, so decided to give it a try. The background fabric which forms the lines of the portrait is a wine color miniscule floral. What do you think? Does it work? |
That is such a talent you have. The image reminds me of my shaggy gray cat, Bear.

What a clever technique!! So many possibilities:thumbup: You must have been so happy to find that kitty fabric.

Thanks. It was fun and easy. Your avitar would make a good quilt like this.

Very cool! My Xandy Bear thinks she would make a very good subject although I have way to many things going already to even think of doing somethinglike this.

Oh, this is soooooooooo awesome. My Jazzy Kitty looks as beautiful as she really is and the fabric fits her personality perfectly!!! She is dainty and elusive, as she is a bit shy around non-family.

I love your cutwork and I like the background fabric of pink cats, but I think the busyness of the pink cat silouette background fabric detracts from your gorgeous applique image. I think it work better on something that reads more solid but is light in value. JM .02.
