Just started making these bags. I'm working on a way to make the pocket fabric show on the inside too.

Thanks everyone. The best part was how the designer came up with this method. Now I am experimenting with how to use this technique on other totes!

That too. Will be even better if I can switch the fabrics the way I want to.

I'm doing that too! This one was for sewing notions, but you can use it for jewelry, etc.

Nice bag, I've never seen it with draw strings, I've always just used handles or added a zipper & used it as a clutch. Did one out of brocade for my girlfriend for Christmas last year.

4girlsmimi 07-31-2011 05:32 PM

Cute bag. I really like it! Thanks for sharing.

marscrafter 07-31-2011 05:33 PM

Idea.....how about just flipping the point of the flap up with a button or sew a piece of the cord like a rose and flip it up a little

We talked about doing that. It will show about an inch or so. But when you have a really cute companion fabric, it is nice to shoe more of it. Both the outside of the bag and the inside of the bag is the same fabric. Only the pocket has the companion.

Relly do like the bag. Am waiting for the tute.
