Thank you all. This is my own pattern from traditional elements. I often use a hearts motif, which seemed perfect for this usage.

This took a third prize at our quilt show. I knew before I entered it what was wrong with it. Since this was a very old UFO, my earlier appliques were not smooth. I chose to leave them that way as a statement that I was thinking of my DGD from the beginning of my quilting career. Of course, she has something quilted from every year of her life.
