What is "S & C"?

Scraps and crumbs lol.....just more quilting lingo....there is a list of quilting abbreviations somewhere on this board. I know I have to go check it now and then when something is unfamiliar to me.

I love these scrappy ideas for once. Will the tutorial go into the tutorial section please? .

I love your quilt. I really need to do something with all of my scraps. I have them all crammed into a drawer and I can hardly shove them in anymore. I guess it is time to use them up. I'm not sure if I have enough strips to make this one. Will have to check. Looks like a good way to use them all up. I also like the other quilt you showed. Might have to try that one too.

Really love the all the scraps you can use for this one, it will be so beautiful! Is that a cat or dog peeking out from under your machine? Cute!

That my little Molly Damsel. She is my 9 year old Chizu mix. that is her little cubby when I am sewing. She just has a place wherever I go lol.

Good for you Maw, remember to rip on the straight of grain.

Ok, I decided to put two rows together to see if my plan is going to work. I said no Y seams or set ins right?

Flip the top dark block over the light block, take them to your table and line them up, look and see the two little points hanging out? this is the way it should look. But, to be on the safe side, put a pin through the 1/4 ins seams of both blocks and pin both ends to make sure.

Look at the second pic, I am checking to make sure the blocks will line up. The third pic shows all the blocks sewed in the first row.

Sew the second row, the same way. Always sew with the dark block on top, because that is a straight strip. Press seams one way on the first row and the other way on the second row. When you sew them together they will nestle nicely. The third pic shows the second row flipped over the first row. Sew that seam.

The fourth pic shows the two rows sewed together. Easy as all get out. I will need to add more blocks to row one, of course lol. I can just sew willy nilly until I run out of blocks. I have a pile of them and all the undesirable are gone lol.

I really have no idea what to call this quilt really. Diamond Scrap comes to mind. Well, I am done with it. I turned out to be 66x90 more or less. It will look nice on a single bed. I had no idea it would come out so pleasing as I was fixing to dump that whole load of fabric strips lol.

As it is I really love it. I used all the undesirables and just had to add a few more to make this size.

I will bind it just the way it is.
