I thought I would take the stitches out while it was still on the frame. Interesting to do, but I didn't want to redo the sewing later. I had to adjust my cruise control and finally got the pattern and stitch length I liked.

i skin my quilts all the time on the frame instead of off - its so much easier and quicker on the frame.

if you want to see the video of it on youtube just search for skinning a quilt.

i ripit on the frame because i'm too lazy to unload and reload the quilt.

Well if I were to skin a whole quilt or large section... on the frame. For just a row or two, off. But I have zippered leaders so it just takes a minute.

Yes I do it on the frame as well, it would be too much extra work to remove from the frame.

On the frame easier and better lighting. and no hauling quilt that keeps sliding off table.
