I bought an accuquilt "go" right after Christmas and have only used it once.

They are fun for awhile. Then you get bored. They do a great job for cutting squares and triangles for a scrap quilt but specialty rulers are cheaper and more versatile. Yes that flower die is cute but how many times are you really going to use it.

I know one lady who buys the dies when they are sale and then uses the machine at the library. Actually the library has dies also that you might want to use

I use mine all the time especially for donation quilts. Goes fast especially since I have carpal tunnel this works so slick.:)

I only dabbled with mine and its going to MI to a new home.

Our club recently received one as a gift, I'm sure once the bugs are worked out it will be wonderful but meanwhile when the crank is turned its like finger nails on a chalk board.
The company was called and their answer is that it needs to get broke in......

I don't have one. I can't see spending that kind of money. Of course if I get a windfall maybe I will lol
I really like the June Tailor shape cut rulers and they are much much cheaper! Of course not the same but I love them!
I use a Joann's 50 percent coupon and get them cheap!

After watching the demo video, I'm sure I can cut scraps just as fast and save more fabric. I'm such a miser, I hate to see any fabric wasted and in the demo, one of the dies had the shapes so far apart that it wasted a lot of fabric. Then you have to trim and run those smaller pieces through again with another die. Looks like a lot of time and trouble to do something I can do just as well with a ruler and rotary cutter. Maybe odd shaped dies, like flowers or butterflies would be easier to cut that way, but I don't think it would be worth buying one and the dies unless you do a lot of applique quilts all the time. I'm glad I watched the videos because I didn't know how they worked and it sounded tempting to me. Now, it's not!

I saved up & finally got the Accuquilt Go on sale at Joann's a couple of months ago. Once in a while they'll go on sale for $199 and I waited for it. The Accuquilt Go came with a starter die. I haven't been able to buy more dies, yet. I definitely want some of the strip dies, especially the 2 1/2" one. Years ago when my kids were little I bought a video game system for them and the video games to go with it were expensive. We bought a game for their birthdays or Christmas until they had a good amount of them. And so, it is sort of the same thing (but just for me) and I figure I'll get the dies I want/need a little bit at a time.
