Dotty For Dresden.....By Charisma

OK Remember that little Obsession I have spoken of before?
Material Obsession....Well yes...this one is also part of that. Mine looks a bit different than the book because let's face it....it needed to have a bit of “Charisma” flavor added to it. The pattern in the book is called “Dotty For Dresden” So to make the dresdens I used the cheater method they explain in the book....They have a template that you can copy and cut out to me your dresdens..I decided to go down to my local glass place..they made me a template from plexiglass for like 3$. It made the process of cutting them out so much easier. Then I spent time sorting my scraps..picking scraps that appeal to me..LOL...which you see here in all their glory. I also added yo-yo's...many many yo-yos..to give it dimension..I love dimension. Thanks so much for looking! |
She's a real beauty Charisma.

It's just to cha-cha for words -- oh wait that's from Steel Magnolia's I think -- anyway -- it's amazing!

Hi Charisma,

Very dimensional! Love the quilting, it really creates flow and movement, makes the Dresdens look like lilies swirling on a pond. The way you did the yo-yos is genius. Colors are super-cheerful. What a fun, pretty, happy quilt to see on a gloomy day in Chicago. Thx!

Beautiful job. I love the yo-yo's/
|
I run out of words to describe your work...so gorgeous, beautiful, delightful, interesting...etc.!!
|
Beautiful!!!!
|
That's AWESOME Charisma! I love the fact you didn't plan the layout of each dresden. (Maybe you did plan it out, but, it isn't deliberate!) I am making a dresden right now for a friend, and am being spontaneous with the layout of each one. You're simply the best!
|
Very pretty and I like the additions of the yo-yo's.
|
