I just finished this Double Irish chain top. Any suggestions for hand quilting the middle. I did a four leaf clover in the center of my last one.

Since it is an Irish chain how about a Celtic pattern in the white? I saw one at a show once that had a different pattern in each white block. But the same one repeated would be lovely and keeping in character with the quilt. Just my thought for the day!!

Very nicely done!

I do not have any suggestions about quilting since that is a problem I routinely have.
However, at Intown Quilters in Atlanta (404-634-6924), I saw a book that showed the same quilt quilted in different patterns.
(Maybe that was Photo Shop only...) I almost bought it and decided I was not there yet.

The Reader's Digest book, 175 pages, Quilting school by Ann Poe is one of the best books I have on quilting: small, basic, well organized, concise and not just basic/beginner stuff with several pages of quilting patterns that I have used for inspiration. Every now and then I look at other books and have yet to find one I like better...
If you call, someone there might give you the name of the book.

Since it looks like you have a floral print I would do a flower maybe?

Thanks, for the info. I might just give them a call.

Maybe a celtic knot? If I had any ability in FMQ or hand quilting, that is what I would have done for my own Irish Chain quilt...but I don't. LOL
