Which one do you like best? These are just regular quilts my friend wants.

Can anyone out there tell me what the difference is from the EQ5 and EQ7. Don't know if I should upgrade.
Besides adding more block---what else is different?

I like them both, but the curved one looks like a lot more work. (can you tell I'm not real comfortable with curves?)

I like the first one best. The second is nice but too much movement for my eyes.

I went on their site just a couple of days ago and tried to see what is different,. I really couldn't see that much of a difference and have not run into anything on my EQ5 that I'd wish I could do differently. As long as 5 meets your needs, why spend the $$$ ?

Each of the quilts are so different, there is much to like in each one for different reasons. Very nice, both of them. As to EQ--7 offers some additional things but unless you use it a lot your 5 if probably just fine. I have EQ7 but use it pretty much the same as I did the others. Can you still update the 5 for a good price, that would be the deciding factor I think.

One of the features of EQ7 that I love is the ability to make/design your own blocks. Makes it muh easier to adapt a quilt pattern that you have seen. I especialy like it when I am using a panel or something for a focus in a block. I can work around the size that I have rather than having to find a focus fabric that fits the premade quilt block size.

To me, EQ7 was worth the money. I have found a copy of EQ5 on Craig's List a while back. I loved it but was fustrated with its limitations. When EQ7 came out, I did a LOT of research and decided that it really fit my needs.
