Fall Placemats
 

I quilt for others and seem to hardly ever get a chance to do any projects for myself so this past weekend while my hubby was busy working I made myself some new placemats for fall using materials I had in my stash. I used a leaf pattern that I found in a magazine on my shelf used raw edge applique method. I cut one leaf from a darker fabric and offset the top leaf slightly to give it a shadowed efffect. I decided to leave it at that. You can't really see the quilting but I used an allover fall leaf/acorns design. It was a fun weekend project.
