I'd meant to get this done by Thanksgiving, but it didn't happen. Of course, I only gave myself a few weeks to do it, and that was a little too ambitious for me.
I'm thinking hand quilting is not for me, maybe once in a while on small quilts, and this one is pretty small, but for larger projects I'm going to see about machine quilting. I'm glad I tried it though. The quilt is about 50" by 50". The second picture shows the true colors better - it's done with a flash. The first shows the colors more faded than they really are, but shows the stitch lines better, including the hoop lines - I guess I need press or steam those out. Wow that turned out really cute!...and hand quilted too.... Did you put a hanging sleve on the back...?.... I can see it hanging on my wall this fall......:-)

Oh gosh--that was worth every minute. I love the stitches in the pumpkins...and all those flying geese... just gorgeous.

You're ready for fall! Your quilt is lovely! Great job.
Can you wait for September to hang it? Let's call it a summer quilt and watch the pumpkins grow for fall. :P |
Love fall quilts. Love the pumpkins. And the quilting is just wonderful. Great job.

I LOVE your quilt! Handquilting can take forever, but it's worth the effort on really special things like this. Beautiful work!
