I'll find out the pattern when she picks it up and post it back here. I love the pattern, too. I think I saw something similar to it in an ad in a quilting magazine a while back. and she did say she had been working on it for 2 years (she wanted to wait until her skills were good enough to finish it - I think her skills are great!).

I've also posted a pic of the back - I couldn't get a good one taken when I finished it and took this one this morning in the sunlight.

Now if that is not your choice, then you really need to tell us where you got the pattern so we can try to make one like this!!!
Deal~ or no deal~????? :P

LOL. That's funny. I'm afraid it would get "lost" in the mail. :-)

I found the trick was to not go too fast and to make each pebble slightly different in size. Kind of a random size ranging from small to large, and to make sure you have a good mix of all those sizes in each block you're doing - not too many small ones in one place and all large in another. Sometimes I'd make like a figure eight, then backtrack to get a pebble in a certain place, but mostly I'd just go round again until I could come out to the place I'd want to make another pebble.

Clear as mud? :-) Just hang in there. I've found the more you practice the better it gets. These got easier to do as I moved along the quilt. And it really didn't take that long to do them.
