This is a "One Fabric Wonder" made with a border fabric. I'm not sure that I really like it. The border fabric had several rows of toys that were different and it made too many different blocks. It just didn't turn out the way I expected or like the picture from the pattern. Oh well, maybe it would make a nice quilt for one of the grandkids.

I think it's fabulous! I don't know what you imagined before you put it together, but I think the end result is wonderful!

One of the things that makes quilts interesting is keeping the viewers eye moving all over the surface to see what is next. This quilt offers that visual stimulation that you don't get all the time. It is an excellent quilt.

Usually, with normal border fabric, when you cut the squares, you end up with 3 different blocks and when you layout the quilt, you end up with a very defined pattern that I just loved. But my fabric had several different rows of borders and it made about 10 or 12 different blocks but only 3 of each kind. This made it impossible to lay out and make any kind of pattern with them. I have the same number of green ones as well, but couldn't figure out a way to use them all in one quilt, so I divided them up into two quilts, one with mostly burgundy colored blocks and one with all the green ones. But it still didn't look balanced or even to me. I like things to be symmetrical. LOL
