Need some suggestions for setting these blocks. Came from my late aunts stash. 62 of them measure about 7 1/2 in each and all different made from feed sacks

Wow!!! Beautiful. Sorry I can't help. But they are Beautiful.

I adore feedsack prints! That's going to be a great quilt! I think I'd sash with a natural muslin to keep the vintage look going. Maybe you could find an old feedsack for the cornerstones too?

awsome! I love the patterns on the feed sacks they amaze me trying to think what would have been in them.I too would go with muslin.

Wonderful! Gotta love the feed sack prints. I have some that were given to me I have yet to use. I love them so much, I have been using them sparingly so I don't run out quick!!
|
What a great find!
I think I would go with muslin as well to not detract from the feed sacks! |
does everyone mean natural colored muslin? I thought I might turn each set of 4 on point and then frame that with muslin or sash with a different color and fill in between points with muslin. Appreciate any idea this one has me stumped
|
My suggestion is that you send them to me :!:

You are so fortunate to have been given these!! I love feedsacks and have small collection of them.
Muslin is always good with feedsacks. Here is a picture of a great feedsack quilt in your same pattern and an article you might find interesting. http://www.quilthistory.com/feedsacks.htm http://www.quilttownusa.com/Quilt_Ga...plaidholes.jpg |
