Feed Sack quilt
2 Attachment(s)
I finished quilting this small quilt this past week. I used feed sack prints in the blocks. I got a big barrel of them for $1 at a garage sale! It seemed that pink was a good color to set them off. Now my UFO's are all caught up!

Positively wonderful. One of the prettiest feedsack quilts I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

I love your quilt, it is so pretty! Feedsack fabric is very special to me. My grandparents had a citrus and poultry ranch and hundreds of feedsacks. My mother had all the fabric she could use and many pretty school dresses were made from the feedsacks. Anyway, your quilt is lovely!

What a beautiful little quilt, you chose such nice colors.
That is beautiful. Love your choice of pink as the border.
Bubble gum pink was a favorite color in the DAY:)
Lovely, and a GREAT deal on the Feed Sacks
So very pretty! Pink is perfect for those feed sack fabrics.
So cute and love the colors!
Gorgeous! Beautiful colors and beautiful quilting!
beautifully done.
Very nice job. And good score on the feedsack fabrics. I love feedsacks. I have quite a few which are mostly smaller scrap pieces. I did make a double wedding ring quilt and even used the plain offwhite ones for the background. That quilt is quite heavy. I've pretty much worn it out from use.
Love your quilt, you did them justice!!!! What a great bargain to find them a one dollar, lucky you. You are also lucky to have your UFO's done, would you like a few more? lol
So very cute!!
Beautiful quilt and great work! Feedsacks are really my favorite fabric.
Great job!
Very soft and gentle looking. I love the way the white sets off the feed sack fabric. Your quilting complements your piecing. Thanks for sharing.
Darling quilt - so glad you made such good use of the feed sacks.
I love your quilt. Looks like you put a lot of work into it. Great colors.

It's lovely! I like the pink with the other colours.
Absolutely gorgeous...makes me want to snuggle.
I absolutely love your quilt!!! Wow, what a find!!! Can't believe you got a barrel of feedsacks for a $1.00! They obviously went to the right person. Enjoy!
Lovely and very nice quilting
Another precious quilt, Nancy! What no UFO's? Must have some WIP's, don't you?
Love the block pattern. Prints from the 30's are my favorite. Is there a name for the block? Or a pattern? Setting your blocks on point really does "the trick". And your hand quilting is exquisite.
That's so girly pretty!! I can't believe you got a barrel of them for a buck! All kinds of neat things u can make! Can't wait to see! :)
Janet I remember those days. All our cloths were made from feed sacks.
