A few completed table runners and a holiday lap quilt/ table topper
5 Attachment(s)
Well its been really hectic in our household the last few months. My husband retired from the airforce and then we moved to Florida. We are finally in our house and i managed to unpack some of my sewing items but still have a ton of organizing to go. But i just couldnt stand it anymore and had to work on some things so i made a few table runners and a little table topper/ lap quilt. The halloween runner is for us and the christmas one is a gift. The table topper is for me and I am hand quilting it and its just about done. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day

Welcome back to being able to sew again! Your items are lovely. I especially like the Christmas runner as the material designs don't overpower the pattern. Perhaps, I enjoyed seeing the open space when using the seasonal print. The Halloween runner is bright and cheery with the random strips of colorful fabric. The topper is also very nice and I don't blame you for doing the hand quilting. Thanks for sharing your creative talents.

All are lovely. Best wishes to your husband and to both of you for your new home. Give your husband my thanks for what he did on behalf of all of us, we contribute our safety and freedom to great people like him. I never pass someone in uniform without shaking their hand and thanking them for their service, so shake his hand for me. My son was in the airforce, served in Panama during that squirmish so he is now a proud vet of a foreign war.
|
Whew, you have some great projects, and I have to tell you, your photography of them is fabulous!! I really need to take a lesson from you!
|
Beautiful and inspiring!

I am glad you're settled. I always hate moving, packing, unpacking and getting reorganized. I told DH that we were never moving again, and he agreed. Yea!

Lovely runners, really like the Christmas. I remember having to have all my stuff in storage when I got married and we try to move all my stuff into his house with his stuff. (Then my Son needed a place to regroup out of the Navy.) He got my sewing space for a year. Then we bought a new house lost the son (Move do his own space) and made sure I got a space for sewing and crafts. Have been a happy quilter ever since.
